A few years ago, our family decided to move from Europe to Canada in search for a place to showcase our true potential. We wanted something challenging, exciting, and above all, life-changing. We all share a passion for quality foods and exceptional community service, and decided to bring this passion over to Canada for new communities to experience.
By sheer chance, we stumbled upon a small location in Downtown New Westminster. We immediately fell in love with the community, which fell right back in love with us. Soon enough, our small location which started out serving only coffee and desserts, grew into the Bruncheria Cafe as it's known today.
At first, we had no idea what we were doing, struggling to meet the rapid demand for delicious brunch. Despite the challenges, we wanted to prove that anyone could cook good food and manage a restaurant if they put their mind to it.
Over the years, mistakes were made and lessons were learned but through it all, one key aspect continues to make us stand out. It is our passion for good quality food and to love and serve our community, no matter where it is.
Since our startup in 2018, our service has greatly expanded, from serving coffee and desserts to a wide range of brunch foods as well. Being a family-run business with a small kitchen, we became quickly overwhelmed by our popularity and needed to adapt.
In 2019, we decided to limit outside orders and introduce full table service. Soon enough, there were huge line-ups outside of the cafe. Was this our much-needed change?
Absolutely not. We realized that a mistake was made that had to be fixed, as we understood what we're best at. This was the creation and fast delivery of delicious food, made as simple and fresh as possible.
We now proudly make in-house ingredients such as freshly pulled pork and chicken, and we've started our dream of being an exclusively online brunch cafe.
At Bruncheria Cafe, there is no such thing as perfection. Everything, always, has more room to grow. We constantly seek to become better at what we do, so that we can give back more to the loving community that’s responsible for where we're at today.
